The ride starts with buying your ticket from the ticket window for $15. Then you go over the to flight suiting area (pictured below). After you have been flight suited you will be escorted out on to the flight line After you lose momentum you will be required to grab aloop to slow yourselves to a stop. Once to a stop the operator will grab you and will bring the lift up and allow you to stand up. Once standing they will un hook you from the cables then bring the lift down and you will be escorted back to the flight suiting area to be unflightsuited.
The Sky Coaster was added to Lagoon' list of rides in 1995. It was the starting of what would become the X-Venture Zone. it is an unique Xprience. It really feels like you are flying.
Once out on the flight line you will be escorted to the lift which takes you up 6ft to attached to the flight cables. You fly on 2 cables each one able of holding 10,000 pounds each. The Flightsuits mentioned ealier (pictured left) also hold 10,000 pounds. Once you have been hooked up to the cables we put you into flying position and use a wench to pull to to the top a maxium height of 150 ft
It's a slow way to the top the wench goes slow but, gives you an excellent view of the park. When you reach the top you will here 3-2-1 FLY! then the person selected will pull the rip cord sending you down toward the ground and then swinging only 6 ft above the ground. (Picture to the left is the flightline and the lift sitting on the ground).
